Each AMONG EQUALS bag tells a story. The Spider Web design tells the story of a mother teaching her daughter how to weave a Bilum. The daughter was tired and taking too long, she looked at the corner of the hut and saw a spider that was busy spinning its web. While the little girl was still trying to weave her Bilum, she was frustrated, “Why can’t I weave as fast as the Spider can spin her web?” The mother said “You need to be patient” It is a story about patience and passing down the traditional knowledge of Bilum weaving.

This Bilum is handwoven from acrylic and wool yarn as well as upcycled knitwear using traditional weaving techniques. Small size body and long strap length makes this the perfect bag to use daily. The handmade 100% pom and tassel give a fun element to the bag.
